Kindred Cultural Connections—Damascus

  • Damascus International Fellowship 5261 Rainier Ave S Seattle, WA 98118 (map)

We grow closer when we share and know our neighbor’s story.

Join us for a series of Cultural Connections focused on getting to know each other’s culture, history, struggles, and triumphs. Each church community will have the opportunity to present on one of the three scheduled evenings.

Come join us on Wednesday, May 18th from 7 PM – 8:30 PM in the Damascus sanctuary and virtually as we share about our history and culture as African Americans, a people of the African Diaspora who fell in love with Jesus Christ. You will learn about how our capacity to adapt in the face of struggles and persecution was shaped through prayer and music. How our ability to make something out of our lack and God’s provision gave birth to our ingenuity that is distinctly expressed through the culture of the Black Church and education. As you participate in the prayers, and music, and hear about our journey through the cultural experiences of the Black Church and education you will learn about our resiliency to preserve, endure, and strive.

Damascus’ COVID policy remains in effect for in-person worship, we welcome all who have been vaccinated and masks are required. We look forward to seeing you.
